Dynamis farming and progress

Making two ultimate weapons simultaneously means I need to divide my already busy schedule further when in game. The hardest part about Dynamis farming, however, is that I must set aside up to a 2 hour block to maximize my efficiency.

I do most of my farming in Dynamis - Valkurm. There is a great spot to the western half of the map near where a few of the 5th time extension pop spots are.

I use blu/dnc and I lock my Chaac belt on and set Treasure Hunter in with my other DD spells. I call Joachim, Ulmia, and Apururu to keep me moving and swinging.

After getting time extensions, from 0:00 to 8:00 on the game clock, I go after Nightmare Flytraps. My typical JA cycle is to start with a step, then a flourish, then steps until I get the proc. Most of the time I get the proc on the 1st three, but there inevitably will be a mob who I will whittle down on swings without triggering a proc. Those are few and far between. After proc, I usually CDC or Sinker Drill to bring it down, then move on to the next mob. With the trusts, I never have to rest or pause except to manage inventory. I have taken to just leaving the -1, accessories, and rare/ex nm pops in my MH so I don't have to worry about managing inventory while farming. Usually I can get 90+ currency from them before having to move on to Hippogryphs from 8:00 to 16:00. They were a little stingy for me this morning but still quick kills. Then I move north and kill treants who typically drop very well for me. This morning I farmed a total of 1 hour 15 minutes and got a combined total of 422 currency.

After filling a few stacks of singles from the AH, I traded in for 100 pieces and now sit at 20/20 Whiteshells, 16/20 100 Bynes, and 10/20 Silverpieces for stage 4. I have enough gil saved up to purchase all remaining currency for stage 4.

I just have to get the Attestation as well. Shouldn't be an issue.

I also forgot which day exactly I turned in my stage 3 items last week so I keep checking with Switchstix each session but the guy keeps telling me how impatient I am. I should be! I've never made a relic before so I am a bit giddy to do so.

Salvage/Mythic

After yesterday's Neo Nyzul morning runs, I stuck to salvage for more Alex. My goal this morning was to cross 2k turned in. Unfortunately last night's ARII run did not give me a usual amount of Alex. The Linen only gave me 55, and I only got 20 dropped from other mobs. It was my fault that I forgot the ramparts on the 5th floor can pop triple gears, and I had only let one of them use reinforcements. That won't happen again when I go later today.

I did 2 SSRII this morning and still 0/many on getting 2 linens in 1 run. Between both runs' regular Alex and Linen, I got 225 Alex.

24 hour Plan

I now sit at 1902 Alexandrite. I plan on hitting ARII tonight, then another SSR2 in the morning followed by a few Neo Nyzuls. I am at 36k tokens so just need to chip away at that as I farm Alex.

I am going to check again to see if my Stage 3 is ready. If it is, I will go on a spending spree and hit Dynamis Beaucedine for the attestation. Once I have a stage 4, it will feel real close and perhaps I will prioritize a Dynamis farming session each morning. Since I only need Silverpieces for stage 5, I will sell the bynes and whiteshells I get in Valkurm and use the gil to stock up on Silverpieces.

After checking my blu magic damage set, I really want some Amalric Nails. They would be a huge improvement over my current Manabyss Pigaches. I would go with path D augments for a total change of +2 INT, +19 MAB, and +10 magic damage. That will make my Subductions in Salvage do more damage! Plus, I remember helping a LS mate farm the abjuration from Khon and I think I can pull it off as well with trusts.

I am hoping that, after having almost 1/15 of the Alexandrite I need turned in, I continue to enjoy this process. I'm used to the FFXI grind such as having to repeat the Tenzen fight a bunch of times before I got Ginsen and many many other times in my playing time I am sure. Still, it is always nice to get closer and closer.
